Per i cittadini, l’euro digitale sarà innanzitutto una possibilità in più, non un obbligo.
- Potranno scegliere se usarlo o no.
- Avranno accesso a un wallet pubblico sicuro.
- Potranno pagare anche senza connessione internet.
- Non avranno costi aggiuntivi per l’uso base.
L’esperienza d’uso sarà simile a quella delle app di pagamento, ma con una differenza importante: l’euro digitale è moneta pubblica, non un servizio privato.

Per i commercianti, l’euro digitale potrebbe rappresentare una nuova modalità di incasso, con potenziali vantaggi.
- Pagamenti immediati e definitivi.
- Riduzione delle commissioni rispetto ai circuiti tradizionali.
- Maggiore inclusione dei clienti senza carte.
- Integrazione con i sistemi di pagamento esistenti.

L’euro digitale non rivoluzionerà tutto dall’oggi al domani. Il vero cambiamento sarà culturale: capire che il denaro può essere pubblico anche nel digitale. Se sarà semplice, conveniente e rispettoso delle persone, verrà usato. Altrimenti resterà una possibilità tra le tante.
